PHIN - the Private Healthcare Information Network - is an independent, not-for-profit organisation established by the UK Competition and Markets Authority. It collects anonymous patient feedback from private hospitals across the UK and verifies the satisfaction scores those hospitals publish.
Patients are surveyed after their treatment. The questions cover the experience of care - from the welcome they received, to how their treatment was explained, to the cleanliness of the rooms, to whether they would recommend the hospital to family and friends. The responses are anonymous, and they aren’t filtered by us.
Every score on this page has been verified by PHIN.
In May 2026, 98% of our patients rated their overall experience of the Ulster Independent Clinic as positive.
The score reflects how patients answered when asked: ‘Overall, how was your experience of our service?’ PHIN reports the figure as the percentage of patients who rated their experience as good, very good or excellent.
PHIN publishes the scores monthly. The pie charts below show the breakdown across inpatients, day patients and outpatients.

Here’s what patients have told us about their experience in their own words.
