About the Ulster Independent Clinic
Opened in 1979, the Ulster Independent Clinic is a registered charity and one of Northern Ireland’s longest-serving private hospitals. We provide consultant-led specialist services, advanced diagnostics, expert surgery and physiotherapy-led rehabilitation from our site in south Belfast.

What is PHIN?
PHIN (the Private Healthcare Information Network) is an independent, not-for-profit organisation established by the UK Competition and Markets Authority. It publishes anonymous patient feedback and the satisfaction scores from private hospitals across the UK.
Patients are invited to complete a survey after their treatment, sharing feedback on their experience of care, from the welcome they received and how their treatment was explained, to the cleanliness of the facilities and whether they would recommend the clinic to family and friends.
The feedback is collected independently through our patient survey partner, Cemplicity. Responses are anonymous and represent genuine patient feedback.
