I am a Consultant General Surgeon specialising in upper gastrointestinal surgery. I have subspecialty interests in oesophageal and gastric cancer, complex benign upper gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary surgery and weight loss (bariatric surgery).
I trained in Northern Ireland with subspecialty fellowship training in advanced laparoscopic surgery in Sydney, Australia. There and since I have developed advanced laparoscopic skills in surgery for cancer, hernia, gallstones, hiatus hernia, anti-reflux surgery including fundoplication and LINX, achalasia and weight loss surgery.
My NHS practice is in the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust. I am fee assured with all the major health insurers.
