Mr Ajay Pahuja is an experienced Consultant Urologist in general and diagnostic urology with a specialist expertise in benign prostate (BPH) enlargement, urinary stone disease and minimally invasive urological surgery. He trained in India and Northern Ireland achieving his FRCS Urology in 2008.
His specialist interests include TURP, Rezūm, Laser treatment to renal / ureteric stones and more recently Aquablation for prostate. He was among one of the first urologists to introduce Robotic-assisted Aquablation therapy for BPH disease within the NHS in Northern Ireland, helping expand access to innovative prostate treatments.
Mr Pahuja has a strong interest in urological innovation and evidence-based practice. He has contributed to scientific publications and professional meetings, including the National PAE ROPE study, which investigated prostate artery embolisation (PAE) as a treatment option for men with benign prostatic enlargement. Additionally, he co-authored a recent presentation on Aquablation Prostate (Regional service in NI) at the British Association of Urological Surgeons (BAUS).
His clinical and academic work reflects his commitment to advancing contemporary, minimally invasive urological treatments and providing personalised patient care.
