I have worked as a Consultant Cardiologist since 2010 and practice in both the Belfast Trust and the Ulster Independent Clinic.
I trained in Northern Ireland before completing a 2 year Fellowship in Cardiac Electrophysiology and Devices in Victoria, Vancouver Island, at that time the largest atrial fibrillation ablation centre in Canada. On return to Northern Ireland I set up the local atrial fibrillation ablation program.
I am fully trained in all aspects of general Cardiology, including palpitations, shortness of breath, blackouts and chest pain.
My sub-specialty interest is the management of patients with heart rhythm disturbances requiring invasive management, including catheter ablation and device implantation (pacemakers and defibrillators).
