Mr Gordon is a Consultant Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon, specialising in the treatment of all aspects of adult and children’s spinal conditions.
After graduating from the University of Dundee in 2013, he returned to Northern Ireland to complete Specialist Registrar Surgical Training in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery.
Mr Gordon then completed a world-renowned subspecialist spinal fellowship in Brisbane, Australia. This 12 month fellowship focused on complex spinal conditions in adults and children including scoliosis, kyphosis, degenerative conditions, disc pathology, trauma / spinal cord injury and tumour surgery.
During this fellowship Mr Gordon gained vast experience in robotic spine surgery, intraoperative navigation techniques and performing minimally invasive and microscopic spine surgery.
Mr Gordon is actively involved in the teaching of medical students and Master’s students at Queens University Belfast. He has been invited faculty at international spine surgery training courses. Mr Gordon is actively involved in several national spine research trials and has published and presented work both nationally and internationally.
Mr Gordon provides compassionate, patient-centred care with the aims of restoring function and improving quality of life.
